As the race for 2023 general elections draws nearer, one of the top aspiring aspirant for the Lagos State House of Assembly (Alimosho 01) has yesterday flagged off a mobilisation drive for grassroots people.
Hon Kayode Akintomo INEC Online Pre-registration exercise was at Suberu Oje Street, Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA for the day 1 of the event. The event was put together for people who has not been able to register for their Permanent Voters Card (PVC).
Brooom Nigeria who was on ground to observe the event gathered that participants had started trooping to the venue as early as 8am for an exercise that was scheduled to commence by 9am and run till 18th March, 2022. It is expected to cover 5 of the 6 Alimosho federal Constituency which includes Agbado Oke-Odo LCDA, Ayobo Ipaja LCDA, Mosan Okunola, LCDA, Alimosho LG & Egbe Idinu LCDA.
On arrival of the officials of Hon Kayode Akintomo INEC Online Pre-registration exercise to the venue which is off Abeokuta express Road by Casso bus stop with a stand in epsentative to take attendance of eligible voters as they arrive the venue. The team came with their lap tops, smartphones, printer, generator set among other devices needed for a smooth operation of the event. Special preferences were also given to the elderly people who graced the occassion.
Hon Akingomo is one of the leading aspiring aspirant for the Lagos House of Assembly election in 2023. He has contested for the position of Chairman among other offices in the past.
Some of the participants who spoke to Broom Nigeria were indeed very greatful for the kind gesture extended to them by the Incoming Honourable to the State House of Assembly. They charge him not to relent with the good work as many people are yet to register for the exercise because of the too many challenges.
The Director General of Hon Kayode Akintomo INEC Online Pre-registration exercise, Hon Tajudeen Olatigbe informed Broooom that the act was put together to mobilise people at the grassroots level ahead of coming general elections. The people of Alimsho 01 should expect more from Hon Akintomo and brilliant representation from 2023 at the Lagos House of Assembly he concluded.
The event which was billed to end by 4pm couldn’t until 6pm with almost 100 peoples as beneficiaries.
