A prominent non-profit organization, Bridge of Faith Foundation (BFF), has been making waves in Nigeria with its philanthropic efforts aimed at improving the lives of the less privileged.

Founded by Chief Felix Emeka Molokwu as Chairman, Dr. Marge Royle as Director of International Affairs, and Douglas Taylor as Executive Director, BFF was inspired by the strong connection between New Jersey (NJ) and Nigeria.

“We see ourselves as a bridge between NJ and Nigeria,” said Dr. Royle. “People of NJ have the financial resources that people in Nigeria need, and we want to collaborate to help provide what they need.”

The foundation’s focus on Nigeria stems from personal, religious, and cultural connections. “A lot of people from Nigeria are based in NJ, speaking the same language, English, among other reasons,” explained Douglas Taylor.

Since its inception, BFF has made significant strides in Nigeria. The foundation has visited schools, hospitals, and orphanage homes in Akwa, Anambra, and Lagos, providing food, medical equipment, school books, and other essential items.

One of BFF’s flagship programs is the annual mathematics competition, open to primary and secondary school students in Awka, Anambra, where the brightest minds compete for top prizes, including bicycles.

The foundation also organizes an annual football competition, with over 16 schools participating, vying for the trophy and other prizes. The 2025 series marked the 14th edition of this event.

BFF’s commitment to education and youth development is evident in its visits to schools in slum areas of Lagos. In 2024, the foundation donated school books, writing materials, and a canoe boat to a school in Maroko, Lagos, with the help of Prince Babatunde Kolawole, BFF’s Lagos liaison officer.

BFF’s vision is clear: to make a tangible difference in the lives of Nigerians, one community at a time. As they continue to bridge the gap, their efforts are a testament to the power of collaboration and compassion.
