NY, USA – Prof. Hakeem Ibikunle Tijani has called on Nigerians in the diaspora to utilize the Trans-border Education Policy and Diaspora Bridge Hub to contribute to the country’s development.

Speaking from Nigeria House in New York at the APC Economic Summit 2026, monitored by Brooom Nigeria, Prof. Tijani emphasized the need for Nigerians abroad to share their expertise, network with local institutions, and establish skills centers in Nigeria.

Chief Tijani admonished Nigerian APC members to “Japada”, citing himself as an example, to add value to implementing policies of the Renewed Hope Initiatives. He called on those in academia to join the new group, The Renewed Hope Academic Forum, led by himself and Prof. Dozie Atounwu.

Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, APC National Chairman, who was represented by the National Deputy Chairman (South), Chief Emma Nweuku; the Chief of Staff to the National Chairman, Mustapha Bala and the Senior Special Assistant to the National Chairman, Dr. Peace Longdet, all applauded the unity of purpose and the show of sincerity by APC Diaspora members and their interest in continuing to work for the success of President Bola Tinubu in 2027.

Ambassador Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye, Secretary, RH USA, made a special appeal for more opportunities for women. Other party leaders, including the Special Assistant on Diaspora Engagement, Prof. Balofin, noted progress made in party membership.
