Anambra, Nigeria – February 7, 2024 – Former executives of the APC USA chapter paid tribute to the late Prof Francis Onukwuli, a renowned academic and politician who passed away recently in the United States.

The farewell wishes were made in a telephone conversation with Prince Babatunde Kolawole, Chief Media Editor of Brooom Nigeria, and Hon Adesegun Labinjo, former Chairman of APC USA, on behalf of the APC USA chapter’s executives. They came together to bid Prof Onukwuli a final farewell as his body arrived in Nigeria for a traditional burial ceremony, according to Ibo custom.
Prof Onukwuli, who passed away on November 27, 2024, was a respected figure in the APC USA chapter, known for his contributions to the party’s growth and development. A requiem service was held in his honor in Jonesboro, Georgia on February 7, 2025.

The executives of the APC USA chapter expressed their deepest condolences to Prof Onukwuli’s family and loved ones, describing him as a “true patriot and a champion of democracy” who served as the first Publicity Secretary of APC USA.
