Abuja, Nigeria: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Maitama Tuggar, has alerted the public to a malicious scam circulating online. A fake letter, claiming the Federal Government is recruiting diplomats for 109 diplomatic missions worldwide, has been widely shared. The Minister categorically denies the authenticity of the letter, stating it is “entirely fictitious” and designed to deceive unsuspecting Nigerians.

However, the Minister emphasizes that the recruitment of Foreign Service Officers is the exclusive responsibility of the Federal Civil Service Commission (FCSC), not the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
