Post UNGA80: Nigeria Takes Center Stage

Nigeria’s side event at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA80) stole the spotlight in New York, bringing together a constellation of VVIPs and thought leaders to project Nigeria’s achievements and vision for the future. The event, themed “UNGA 80: Global Partnerships, Local Prosperity: Unlocking Nigeria’s Renewed Hope Blueprint for Sustainable Growth,” was held at the Nigeria Mission House

A Stellar Welcome Address

Chief Emeka Molokwu, Chairman of Renewed Hope USA and host and co-organizer of the event, delivered a welcome address, lauding the event as a defining moment where Nigeria’s Diaspora and home-based leadership united to showcase the nation’s achievements. Amb. J. K. Adebola, Global Chairman of Renewed Hope Global, described the gathering as “a platform that not only showcased Nigeria’s resilience but also reaffirmed her central role in shaping Africa’s destiny.”

Distinguished speakers, including HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, Emir of Kano, and Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, shared success stories and strategies aligned with the Renewed Hope Agenda. Other speakers at the event included Minister of Youth Development, His Excellency Ayodele Olawande Wisdom; Minister of Health, Professor Muhammad Ali Pate; DG NIMC Engr. Abisoye Coker-Odusote; DG NEMA Mrs. Zubaida Umar; DG NITDA Mr. Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi; Executive Vice Chairman/CEO, National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) Dr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu; National Programme Manager, National Home-Grown School Feeding Programme (RH-NHGSFP); Hon. (Dr.) Abike Dabiri-Erewa, MD/CEO of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM); Special Adviser to the President on Economic and Financial Inclusion, Dr. Nurudeen Zauro; and DG/CEO of ECEWS, Dr. Andy Eyo.

The discussions highlighted Nigeria’s advancements in:

Amb. Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye, Secretary of Renewed Hope USA, expressed her gratitude to attendees in her closing remarks, emphasizing her belief that Nigeria’s future looks bright for all.
