Nigeria’s Vice President, His Excellency Kashim Shettima, GCON, met with the Chairman of Renewed Hope USA, Chief Felix Emeka Molokwu, in New York on September 26, 2025. The meeting, monitored by Prince Babatunde Kolawole, Chief Media Editor of Brooom Nigeria, was facilitated by the MD/CEO of the Nigeria Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Hon. (Dr.) Abike Dabiri-Erewa, and aimed to further the vision of a greater Nigeria under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s leadership.

A Unity of Purpose
The post-UNGA80 synergy brought together key members of the Nigerian Diaspora Community, who gathered to listen to the VP’s insights and discuss ways to support the current administration’s initiatives. Chief Molokwu and other members of Renewed Hope USA celebrated the progress made so far and encouraged more landmark successes.
Renewed Hope Agenda
The meeting underscored the commitment to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to drive growth, development, and prosperity in Nigeria. The VP’s engagement with Renewed Hope USA highlights the administration’s efforts to engage with the diaspora community and leverage their expertise and resources to build a better Nigeria.

This meeting marks a significant step in the collaboration between the Nigerian government and the diaspora community, which has progressive leaders like Dr. Ismaila Maigyara, Vice Chairman; Hon. Fola Olumo, Deputy Chairman; and Ambassador Khairat Animashaun-Ajiboye, Secretary. As Nigeria continues to push forward with its development agenda, the support of the diaspora community, exemplified by contributions from individuals like Dr. Saratu Garba Abdullahi, will be crucial in driving progress and achieving the country’s goals.
