Lagos, Nigeria – The Army Children’s High School Ikeja (ACHS) 89 Set community has bid a final farewell to Deacon Justice Ajayi Aloku, a devoted alumnus and childhood friend of Broom Nigeria’s Chief Media Editor, Prince Babatunde Kolawole.

Justice Aloku 52, passed away after a brief illness, leaving behind his wife, Mrs. Edith Aloku, six children, and a grandchild. Born on January 11, 1973, to Edward and Julian Aloku, he was a civil engineer by training and worked with the Ministry of Labour and Transport before exploring the entertainment industry in the 90s.


A popular figure in the community, Aloku was known as “Voltron” during his secondary school days at ACHS. He was an active member of the ACHS 89 Set alumnus, serving as Financial Secretary, and was an ordained minister with the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The Christian wake-keeping ceremony was held at his residence in Tejuosho, Yaba, and he was buried yesterday, January 22, 2026, at Redeem Camp Memorial Garden, with the ACHS 89 Set community turning out in full force to bid farewell to their beloved friend and alumnus.


Aloku’s funeral was attended by prominent figures, including ACHS Central President Segun Agala, ACHS 89 Set President Ahmed Awoniyi, Secretary Femi Abulude, Mary Adeyemo as Administrator, Goodluck Ikporo, and Kunmi Olabiyi, among many others.

His legacy as a dedicated family man, engineer, and minister will be remembered by those who knew him. The ACHS Central, the 89 Set, and Broom Nigeria family join the Aloku family in mourning the loss of a dear friend and colleague. May his soul rest in peace.
