Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has expressed excitement that the nation’s judicial system has now embraced technological innovations.
In a series of tweet on his verified Twitter account on Friday morning, August 14, Osinbajo said that change has surely come on the administration of justice system through the use of modern technology, and that he is glad to see it happening.
“For the administration of justice system, change has surely come and I am personally excited to see how easily our entire judicial system is willingly adapting to innovation,” Osinbajo tweeted.
Speaking about the transformation brought about in the system through the use of new innovations, the VP said; “Technology and its innovations have defined a new way of life, taking technology away from the realms of luxury into the arena of everyday endeavours.”
“Yet there is more to do,” Osinbajo noted.
He added, “We must now have purpose-built virtual-proceedings software that take into account the various needs of trials and other court proceedings. I shared this and more at the Legal Tech Conference organized by Law Pavillion in partnership with TELNET Nigeria Limited.”
